My career path...
My career is a testament to continuous growth and adaptability, centered around meticulous organization, clear communication, and efficient systems management. Across three distinct decades, I’ve built a strong foundation of skills that drive operational excellence and prepare me for future challenges.
My initial decade as a middle school teacher instilled foundational organizational skills and the ability to demystify complex technical information for diverse audiences. This segued into 10 years at Sprint, where I specialized in refining internal processes. I developed and updated critical training materials, internal websites, and Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring consistency and clarity in both Environmental Health & Safety and Records & Information Management. My responsibilities also included delivering impactful in-person and online training.
For 11 years, I served as the Office Manager for a Public Water Supply District, a highly autonomous role where I oversaw all operational aspects for over 1,100 accounts. This included managing billing, payments, financial reporting, and payroll, demanding a high degree of precision, accountability, and proactive problem-solving acumen.
My 32 years of technical support for my family’s business further underscore my practical expertise with web-based platforms, financial software (QuickBooks), and a broad range of technical troubleshooting. I’m adept with the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop).
I am actively deepening my technical capabilities through certifications for Python from the University of Michigan and Data Analysis from Google. This ongoing learning enhances my understanding of data structures, efficient file processing, and automation, making me uniquely positioned to contribute to roles requiring precision in data and document workflows, and to leverage technology for optimized operations. I am eager to apply my diverse skill set and continuous learning mindset to new opportunities that demand both established expertise and a forward-thinking approach.
